Anthony Falter was the son of Henry and Mary (Wurm) Falter. He married Josephine Blum (1892-1959) on November 5, 1916 in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Attica, Ohio.

Josephine was the daughter of Joseph and Matilda (Ausberger) Blum. Her father, Joseph, was born in Alsace, France on August 24, 1852 to Joseph and Mary (Brumbach) Blum. In 1872, he came to America and made his way to Seneca County, Ohio. In 1891 he married Matilda and purchased the 120 acre Sam Revert farm in 1896. Joseph lived the rest of his life in the Attica area and died on June 9, 1934. Matilda died in 1960.

In 1916, Anthony and Josephine assumed the responsibility of the Falter farm after Henry Falter moved his family to New Washington. They remained there until their deaths. The children of Anthony and Josephine (Blum) Falter were:

1. Norman (b. 1917 d.1996) married 15 Nov 1942 to Berdella Meyers
2. Alberta M., married William L. Kowpak
3. Delbert (b. 14 Nov 1925 d. 24 Jan 2000), never married

ANTHONY FALTER

Tiffin---The funeral will begin at 10 am Wednesday in St. Stephens Catholic Church for Anthony L. Falter, 91, rural Attica, who died Saturday in Tiffin Mercy Hospital after an extended illness. He was a retired farmer. Among the survivors of Mr. Falter is a son Norman of Bellevue.
