I haven't been able to find out my paternal great grandparents' names but I haven't exhausted all sources. They never came to the U.S. and I believe they died before my grandfather's family moved to the U.S. for good in 1912. That might be why Great Aunt Petrina came to live here.

I did find the listing for my paternal grandparents & oldest aunt & uncle on the Ellis Island list when they came to the U.S. to live in 1912, my grandfather's third entry on this list which matches what we know about his trips back and forth to Italy.

There are a number of Lauricella's in Rochester, some are my immediate family, and many more in Buffalo, NY; none are my immediate family.

I have met a Chuck Lauricella in Buffalo and best we can tell we are 4-5th cousins since he knows his ancestors are from Sicily as well. I also know there is a Rick Lauricella in Buffalo who is an Erie County Sheriff, I haven't had an occasion to use this contact yet! And I recently became aware of a Kevin Lauricella that lives in the Houston, Texas area since he works for a company that is part of Emerson just like Rosemount, where I work.

I did visit the Agrigento area in 1973 with my parents 2-aunts, an uncle, & 2 cousins during a 2 week stay in Italy. There are some Greek ruins there. Unfortunately, none of our family was left there, at least under the Lauricella name.
