George Kerns

Kenton--George Kerns, 88, of Dola died Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the San Antonio Hospital at Kenton. He had been in failing health for one year.

Born October 4, 1876, in Washington Township, he was the son of George and Anna Ruppright Kerns. A lifelong resident of Hardin County, he was a retired farmer. Survivors include a sister Magdalene Searson of Dola, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Schindewolf-Steiner-Stevens Funeral Home. Rev. Sherwood Schroer will officiate. Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Thursday.
