Biography/Notes
Joseph Humer was born about 1727 probably in France. As the story of the Humer family goes, the first Humers came to Luxembourg from France in the 17th century at the time of the Huguenots. They weren't a people who could survive in a Calvinistic atmosphere. Joseph married Agnes Braun in the Oberkorn Catholic Parish on June 8, 1752. They became the parents of seven children. Agnes was born about 1730 in Differdange, Luxembourg. There are no references to Agnes' death so it is presumed that she died outside of Oberkorn.
