Death note: Josephine had been seriously ill for one week and died as the result of heart disease. The funeral was held at St. Boniface Catholic Church on Monday morning, December 9th at 9:00 am. Josephine was buried beside Paul in the cemetery behind the church. She had been a member of a parish group called The Mothers Society most of her life.

Mother of Eleven Dies in New Riegel
Mrs. Josephine Huss Dies at Age of 79 from Heart Disease; Services Monday
Mrs. Josephine Huss, 79, widow of Paul Huss and a resident in and near New Riegel all her life, died this morning at 6:45 o'clock in her home in New Riegel following an illness of a week due to heart disease. Mrs. Huss was a daughter of Nicholas and Elizabeth Plentz and was born at New Riegel July 12, 1850, and after her marriage to Mr. Huss January 28, 1869, the family made their home on a farm near the village. They returned to New Riegel in 1905 and Mr. Huss died October 5, 1927. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a family gathering in 1919.
Five sons and four daughters of a family of 11 children survive: Joseph N., St. Cloud, Minnesota; Charles P. and Edmund P. Huss, New Riegel; Robert J., Great Falls, Montana; and Arthur J. Huss of this city and Mrs. Philomena Steinhauser and Mrs. Peter Elchert of New Riegel; Sister M. Louisa, C.P.P.S. of Franks; and Mrs. John P. Wagner of St. Cloud, Minnesota. There are 36 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Mrs. Theresa Schalk of New Riegel is a sister.
Mrs. Huss had been a member of St. Boniface Church and the Mothers Society of the parish all her life.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at nine o'clock in St. Boniface Church and interment will be in the parish cemetery.
