MARTIN H. BENNER
Martin H. Benner, 77, of 34 Virginia Ave., died shortly after his arrival at Tiffin Mercy Hospital at 5:50 pm Tuesday, May 14, 1974.
A lifelong resident of Seneca County, he was born June 1, 1895, to Charles and Susan (Seifert) Benner. He married Corrine Wiechert in Tiffin on May 21, 1955, and she survivies, along with a brother, Albert Benner of Republic. Four Brothers and a sister are deceased.
Mr. Benner was retired from the engineering department of Webster Mfg., where he was a member of the 25-years club. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge and St. Joseph Catholic Church and the United Commercial Travelers Club. He was a Navy veteran of World War I and was a member of the American Legion.
Services at 9:30 am Friday in St. Joseph Church will be followed by burial in the parish cemetery. The body is in the Hoffmann Memorial, where friends may call from 2-5 and 7-9 o'clock Thursday. Tiffin Elks Club will hold services at 7 pm Thursday.
Residential note: Martin was living with mother Susan at the time of the Ohio 1930 census.
