Matilda Fredritz Rites on Tuesday

Carey Woman Died Suddenly Friday

Mrs. Matilda D. Fredritz, 58, 210 West Findlay Street, Carey, died suddenly at her home at 4:30 p.m. Friday, November 22, 1957. She had been in ill health one and a half years with a heart condition, but her death was unexpected.

She was born in Big Spring Township, Seneca County on July 28, 1899. Her parents, both deceased, were Henry and Jenny Kaufman Reinhart.

She was married April 9, 1918 to John Fredritz, who survives with the following children: Paul, Henry, Herman, James, Howard, and William; one daughter, Mrs. Howard Pahl of Carey; and the following brothers and sisters: Theodore Reinhart, Mrs. Fred Lichtle, Mrs. Frank Goshe, Mrs. Howard Martin, Mrs. Edward Hammer, and Gilbert Reinhart, all of Fostoria; Paul of St. Petersburg, Florida; Mrs. William Schira of Flagstaff, Arizona; and 25 grandchildren. One brother is deceased.

She was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Church, the Third Order of St. Francis, and the Christian Mothers Society.

The funeral mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Consolation Church in Carey with the Rev. Justin Phelps officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery there. Friends may call at the Bristoll Funeral Home beginning Sunday afternoon. The rosary will be recited on Monday at 8 p.m.
