STEINHILBER INFORMATION |
August 20, 2002--New information regarding the Steinhilber family has been received courtesy of Marianne Ruppersberger. Mrs. Ruppersberger is a descendent of Louisa Krause, daughter of Ezechiel and Minnie (Mast) Steinhilber.
She was kind enough to send the following information:
1. Photographs--portraits of Ezechiel, Minnie, and Louisa; the Steinhilber homestead; grave photos; and a group photo of Ezechiel's daughters.
2. Biographies--Louisa Krause's obituary; William Smallfield biography; and two new biographies on Ezechiel; birth and death dates of Steinhilber children.
3. Translation of notes contained within the Steinhilber family Bible.
Mr. Nick Sheedy also provided me with a lot of helpful information as well.

Wurm family--A photo of Joseph and Margaretha Studer was sent to me courtesy of Mr. Jerry Wurm. Mr. Wurm has been working with a German researcher to try to track down the Wurm family in Nassau. However, so far, this family is proving difficult to find! Mrs. Laura Worm and Kim Roush also have been extremely helpful.
A biography has been posted regarding the life of Anthony Worm. A look-up was done by Marjean Holmes for me. The information was taken from the Historical Atlas of Paulding County, Ohio, 1892
Courtade family--Mr. Tom Courtade has sent me information regarding the two marriages of Dominique Courtade. There has been confusion on my part as to which children belong with which marriage. As it pans out, Dominique & Eva (Weber) had all the children I had listed. Dominique & Catherine (Olry) had none. Some of the family information circulating out there has the children divided between the two marriages. Mr. Courtade suspects that someone went ahead and split the children between the two wives sometime in the past. I have the corrected information posted as such.

TROTT INFORMATION

February, 2002--Mrs. Joni Eastley was kind enough to send me several photos of Jacob Trott and his family as she is a descendent. She was nice enough to share some quite interesting notes and a grave photo. She also sent a wonderful biography compiled by Joseph Richardson Johnson regarding the daughter of Frederick Trott, Sarah Salome (Trott) Schields and her husband Edmund. Mr. Johnson is a great-grandson of Edmund. This 20 page biography was very helpful!

August 5, 2002--Several new family photos were sent to me courtesy of Corrinna Kuebler Jenning and Brenda Behr. Mrs. Behr is a descendent of Nicolas and Catherine (Laurent) George. Their son John Joseph George is her grandfather. The original portraits are owned by Anna Louise (George) McCann. She is a daughter of John P. George, Jr. John P. George Jr. is the son of John P. George Sr. who is a son of Pierre George and Margaret Devillez. Brenda was able to take pictures of the portaits.

BENNER INFORMATION

January 15, 2002--Mr. John P. Benner surprised the family by discovering who the father of John L. Benner was as well as information on Margaret Benner's family. He was fortunate to get kind and helpful responses from letters which he sent to Benner families living near the village of Sulgen. Walter Benner and Siegfried Limberger of Germany were able to provide the missing information!

HUMER INFORMATION

March 3, 2002--Mrs. Rita Williams wrote to the National Library in Luxembourg about the Humer family. She received a response from Jean-Claude Muller, the director there. He was able to locate Joseph Humer, his wife, and their children in the Registres Paroissiaux Oberkorn Tables Par Familles 1637-1804. She was nice enough to send me a copy of her discovery.

WENZLICK INFORMATION

A lot of insight into the Wenzlick family has been provided by Mr. Greg Wenzlick and Lesley Haslip of New Zealand. They were able to provide me with additional notes, names, and dates. They are the descendents of Simon Wenzlick who was a son of Matthias and Eva (Vide) Wenzlick. Simon's son Norbert is the ancestor from whom all the New Zealand Wenzlicks are descended.

September 14, 2002--Mrs. Mary Stellhorn Roth was generous enough to share her personal notes and photos regarding Anna Dornbirer. Also included is a biography written by Anna Dornbirer. Mary is a daughter of Arthur Stellhorn who was a son of Anna. Anna is the daughter of Hans Jacob Dornbirer and Elizabeth (Trott).
