Its northeastern corner is part of the Big Spring Indian Reservation. The Findlay Branch Railroad runs in a southeasterly direction across the township's northern portion. There are 5 schools and 3 churches, including methodist and lutheran, in this township. Crawford Township sits east of Ridge. The northwest through the northern central portion of the township is part of the Big Spring Indian Reservation. The town of Carey sits in the western central portion of the township. The railroads Findlay Branch, the C. and T., and the C. S. and C. R. Railroads bisect Carey. Crawfordsville lies in the southeastern corner of the township north of the Wyandot Indian Reservation line, which runs from the bottom southeastern corner nearly to the southwestern corner. The postal village of Crawford also lies just to the north of the reservation line in the south central portion of the township. There are 7 schools and 1 methodist church in this township. Tymochtee Township lies east of Crawford. The whole southern section contains part of the Wyandot Indian Reservation. The reservation extends northward into the center of the township where there is a seperate Cherokee Boy section. The Sandusky River bisects the township running in a meandering course from north to south. The village of McCutchenville is located in the north central part of the township near the border. The town of Belle Vernon is located just north of the reservation in the southeastern part of the township. The town Old Tymochtee is near the western border close to the Cherokee Boy Section. There are 9 schools and two churches in this township. Sycamore Township is in the extreme northeastern portion of the county. The village of Mexico lies in its extreme northwestern corner. The town of Sycamore is situated slightly to the south- east of Mexico. Petersburg is located north of the Wyandot Indian Reservation line near the southeastern corner. Almost the entire southern section contains part of the Wyandot Indian Reservation. It ends shortly before the eastern border of Sycamore Township. There are 4 schools and 3 churches including methodist, lutheran, and baptist, in this township. Richland Township is located on the western border below Ridge Township. It includes the village of Whartonsburg in its center. The C. S. and C. R. Railroad bisects the township diagonally running from the northeast corner to the southwest corner through the village of Whartonsburg. There are 6 schools and 4 churches, including methodist and baptist, in this township. Salem Township is east of Richland. It includes the village of Lovell located in the northeast corner. The C. and T. Railroad bisects the northeast corner passing through Lovell. The Tymochtee River winds north to south through the township. Most of the township is part of the Wyandot Indian Reservation. There are 9 schools and 3 churches, a catholic, lutheran, and a Church of God. Crane Township lies east of Salem. The entire township is part of the Wyandot Indian Reservation. The Sandusky River runs from north to south through the township. A branch of the Sandusky called Negro Run passes south of the village of Smithville, which sits in the northeastern corner. The Crawford battle grounds are located near the western border to the northwest of the city of Upper Sandusky. The city of Upper Sandusky sits in the southwestern part of the township along the bank of the Sandusky River. The P. FT. W. and C. and the C. and T. Railroads pass through this city. There are 10 schools and 3 churches, including a baptist, a Church of God, and an old indian church, in the township. Eden Township is located on the eastern border below Sycamore. Most of the township is part of the Wyandot Indian Reservation except for the extreme eastern edge. The postal village of Seal is located in the north central part of the township. The town of Nevada is located in the extreme southeastern portion and crosses over the border into northeastern portion of Antrim Township. There are 7 schools and 3 churches. The township of Jackson is located in the southwestern corner of the county. The small town of Kirby is located on the border between Jackson and Mifflin Townships in the northeastern corner. The P. FT. W. and C. Railroad crosses the northern part of the township passing through Kirby. There are 7 schools and 2 churches, including a methodist church. Mifflin Township is east of Jackson. The P. FT. W. and C. Railroad bisects the extreme northwestern corner of the township. The majority of the township is part of the indian reservation except for the western and southern edges. The Tymotchee River runs north to south through the township. In the north, a branch of the Tymotchee called Warpole River branches to the east and runs southeast. Another branch called Oak Run branches in Salem Township and runs southwest into Mifflin. The postal village of Warpole sits in the south central portion of the township near the border. There are 9 schools and 4 churches, including methodist and Christian Union churches. Pitt Township sits east of Mifflin and Marseilles. About half of the township is part of the indian reservation except for the southern part. The villages of Little Fowler and Little Sandusky sit almost side by side near the center of the township. The C. and T. Railroad runs diagonally through from the southeastern corner to the north- western corner. A branch of the Warpole River called St. James Run extends from the northwestern corner southeast to just north of Little Fowler. A branch of the Sandusky River called the Little Sandusky runs from north to south passing to the east of the town of Little Sandusky. There are 6 schools and 1 methodist church. The township of Antrim sits in the extreme southeastern corner of the county.
